Overview
SitterLark ("we", "our", "us") is a household babysitter management app for iOS. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
- Display name — shown to your household partner
- Household membership — which household you belong to
App Data
- Babysitter contacts — names, phone numbers, hourly rates, and notes you add
- Events — babysitting bookings you create (dates, times, assigned sitter)
- Payments — payment records you log (amounts, dates, Venmo status)
Automatically Collected
- Usage analytics — screen views and feature usage (anonymized, no personally identifiable information)
- Error reports — crash data and error logs via Sentry (no personal data included)
- Subscription status — managed by RevenueCat for in-app purchase processing
Optional Integrations
- Google Calendar — if you choose to connect, we access your calendar to sync babysitting events. We do not read or store other calendar data.
- Apple Sign-In — if you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email (or a private relay address if you choose to hide your email).
Information We Do Not Collect
- Location data
- Health or fitness data
- Financial information (Venmo payments are initiated via deep link; we do not process or store payment credentials)
- Browsing history
- Contacts from your phone's address book
- Photos or media
How We Use Your Information
- Provide the service — store your sitters, events, and payments so both household parents can access them
- Sync in real-time — deliver instant updates between household members via Supabase Realtime
- Process subscriptions — manage your Premium subscription through RevenueCat and Apple In-App Purchase
- Improve the app — anonymized usage analytics help us understand which features are used and where issues occur
- Send notifications — event reminders and payment nudges (you control these in Settings)
Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS US-West-2, Oregon)
- Row-Level Security ensures each household can only access its own data
- Authentication tokens are stored in iOS Secure Keychain via Expo SecureStore
- All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
Data Sharing
We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Your Rights
- Access — view all your data within the app at any time
- Delete — request account deletion by contacting us; we will delete all your data within 30 days
- Export — contact us to request a copy of your data
- Opt out of analytics — contact us to opt out of anonymized usage tracking
Household Data
SitterLark is designed for two-parent households. When you join a household, both members can see and edit shared data (sitters, events, payments). If you leave a household, you lose access to that household's data.
Children's Privacy
SitterLark is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is used by parents to manage babysitter logistics.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email.
